History of the Internet, INTERNET??

The internet is a computer network set up by the United States Department of defence in 1969, through a project called ARPANET ARPA ( Advanced Research Projectv Agency Netwrok), where they demonstrated how about computer hardware and software are UNIX based, we can communicate within the infinite trough phone lines.

ARPANET project designing network, reliability, the extent of the information can be moved, and eventually all the standards that they determine to be the embryo of new protocol development now know as TCP/IP (Trasmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).

The original purpose of the building of the project it was for military purpose. At that time the United States Department of Defense (u.s. Department of Defense) to make computer networkong system which spread by linking computers in areas vital for troubleshooting in case of a nuclear attack and to avoid the occurrence of centralized information, which in the event of war could be easily destroyed.

At first ARPANET connects only 4 sites alone i.e. Stanfrod Research Insititute, University of California, Santa Barbara, Unisersity of Utah, where they from one intefrated network in 1969, and in general the ARPANET was introduced in October 1972. Not long after the project is growing rapidly through the area, and aal the University in these countries wnat to join, thus making ARPANET trouble to set it up.

Rherefore, the ARPANET was split into two, namely "MILNET" for military purpose and the "ARPANET" new smaller for non-military purpose such as universities. Combination of both netwroks eventually know as the DARPA Internet, later simply referred to as the Internet
